May Update
Hey everyone, couple of very big updates:
Firstly, I have finally finished my Left/Right Dichotomy documentary script!
The scope of my documentaries is difficult: I aim to present an extensive case, and that often means changing a lot of things along the way. Here, I started with an outline that initially made points in part one and used parts two and three to do case studies. I had to abandon this because after writing part one, I believed it made all the points too quickly, and the case studies were unnecessary to separate into other parts. This has also necessitated what I think to actually be novel development of consciousness necessary to tackle the material contradictions of capitalism.
The point is to provide a material basis for abandoning the left/right paradigm, and the balance between saying everything necessary, remaining straightforward, and maintaining a constant pace is going to be tough. As usual, I am hoping to keep it under two hours. I’ve managed that for every doc since Less Sucks, and that was totally unavoidable in terms of length. I watched that one the other day, and it’s pretty tight actually.
Second, I have joined the board at the Center for Political Innovation! I was beyond honored to be asked and am extremely excited. I hope I can be of service and help move the needle on class consciousness in a way I previously did not.
Neither of these things really would be possible if not for the fact I am very fortunate to live the life I lead. I live in a nice place, but I could live anywhere. I work remotely, and I’m doing well. I keep in touch with friends all over the place. I probably would never have been able to live where I do were it not for my situation, and if I wanted/needed to, I could easily move again without regret. Honestly, this all set me up for this position.
I am grateful and have to acknowledge just how lucky I am. I will continue to do my best, and I thank you all for your support.

Congrats! Can’t wait for the new doc, either!
